The short version

We set no cookies. None. Not functional ones, not analytics ones.
We run no analytics. No Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmaps, no session recording.
We load nothing from other companies. Fonts and images are served from this domain, so no third party sees that you visited.
The only personal data we hold is what you type into the volunteer form and send us on purpose.

The volunteer form

If you submit the form at /volunteer, we receive your name, email address, and whichever of these you chose to fill in: phone number, city and state, the areas you are interested in, your availability, languages you speak, and any experience you described.

We use it for one thing: to contact you about volunteering. We do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or share it with other organizations. We do not add you to a newsletter you did not ask for.

The submission is delivered to our own mailbox as an email. Two companies handle it in transit — our website host and our email delivery provider — and neither uses it for their own purposes. We keep applications for as long as you might reasonably want to volunteer with us, and delete them when you ask.

Server logs

Our host records ordinary web server logs — which page was requested, when, and a partial network address — for security and to keep the site running. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you, and we do not combine them with anything else.

Children

This website is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through it. The volunteer form asks you to confirm you are 18 or older.

Separately, and more importantly: we do not publish photographs or information that identify the children we support, and we do not send donors pictures of an individual child. That is a safeguarding commitment, not a privacy technicality, and it is not negotiable for a donation.

Asking us to delete your data

Email info@raisingkataorphans.com and ask. You do not need to give a reason, and you do not need to cite a law. We will delete what we hold about you and confirm when it is done.

You can also ask what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop contacting you. Same address, same answer.

Changes

If we add anything that collects data — analytics, a donation form, a newsletter — this page changes first, and the date below changes with it.
