What we will publish, and when

Minh Hau, Executive Director

We have no Form 990 and no audit yet. Here is the schedule, so you can check whether we keep to it.

Transparency is easy to claim in year one, because there is nothing uncomfortable to disclose. The test comes later. So we are writing the schedule down now, while we cannot yet be selective about it.

Our fiscal year runs July to June. Our first Form 990 is due in 2027, once that year closes, and it will go on the Transparency page the week we file it. Our first annual report will follow in late 2027, and it will name what did not work, not only what did.

Until then, what we can show you is the budget: what we plan to raise, what we plan to spend it on, and the arithmetic behind every line. That is already on the Transparency page, including the unit costs — what a $38 gift actually buys and how we arrived at that figure.

Two things we will not do. We will not publish a photograph that identifies a child in our care, and we will not send donors pictures of an individual child. A donation is never worth a child's privacy, and any organization that trades one for the other has already told you what it values.

If a number on this site does not add up, write to us and say so. We would rather be corrected in year one than defend something in year five.
